The Wedding of Unie & Ryan at Grand Serela

Pernikahan ini terasa sederhana dan santai, sebab memang tidak banyak rangkaian acara yang disusun.

Acara langsung dimulai dengan jamuan makan. Sepanjang pesta, kursi pengantin justru jarang terlihat di panggung; sesekali saja pengantin mengajak beberapa tamu naik untuk berfoto, dan kursi baru dinaikkan bila diperlukan. Tata cara yang lebih sederhana ini mengikuti kebiasaan Barat, di mana mempelai lebih banyak berbaur dengan para tamu.

Suasananya ditopang lagu-lagu bernuansa jazz seperti Manhattan Transfer, Bobby Caldwell, dan Michael Buble — semuanya permintaan langsung dari Ryan, yang memang penggemar jazz. Panggung musik pun ditata dengan para penyanyi duduk di kursi bar, sehingga suasananya makin santai.

This wedding felt simple and relaxed, largely because the programme itself was short.

The evening began straight away with dinner. For much of the reception the couple's chairs were not even on the stage; now and then the couple invited a few guests up for a photograph, and the chairs were brought out only when needed. This simpler arrangement follows the Western custom, where the couple spend more of the evening among their guests.

The mood was carried by jazz-flavoured songs — Manhattan Transfer, Bobby Caldwell, Michael Buble and others — all requested directly by Ryan, who is a real jazz lover. The stage was set with the singers seated on bar stools, which made everything feel even more easygoing.
